This trailer for the new Nicole Kidman and Daniel Craig film, The Invasion , has plenty of post 911 paranoia and conspiracy to go around.
The fact that anyone could be a dangerous alien is not an accident in this day and age of filmmaking.
It looks like they're really playing it straight and this will hopefully be an antedote to the happy families ending of the last big alien invasion movie letdown, War of the Worlds.

This is a classic short CGI film by Marco Spitoni, that was released in 2001. It is impressive now and would have been very impressive six years ago. I think it rivals most professionally produced game cut scenes and at the time would have been better than most.

This is one of those stunt videos that could have gone so wrong. These intrepid scandinavians attempt to fly a large remote controlled airplane through a motorway tunnel near Stockholm called the Södra länken, by controlling it from a moving car. The plane is 80" wide and weighs 13lb. The mighty electric motor provides 22lb of thrust and a topspeed closer to 120mph. And incredibly they do it without any crashes - of either plane or car.

Some things work out better than you thought they would.
This is a jazz version of the original Spiderman theme from the totally campy television show of the same name and it pretty much works for me.
It's a bizarre mix but somehow Michael Buble manages to pull it off.
How he originally got the inspiration to do this is anyone's guess but it stands out in my mind as the quirkiest comic book theme song I've ever heard.

Gilligan's Island
is one of those shows that never really died, it just lives on in reruns forever and ever. Here's the original theme that thankfully was swapped out for the extrememly catchy and iconic Gilligan's theme that we all know and love. Retreat in horror at this totally unmemorable theme song...

The Arctic Monkeys are going from strength to strength at the moment.
Later this month they are going to headline
the iconic Glastonbury festival in the UK which starts on June 22 (2007).
And their second album, Favourite Worst Nightmare, which was released in April sold 225,000 copies in it's debut week.

The footage is a little ropey but here's a ten minute taster of the upcoming Star Wars special that the hit animated television show, Family Guy is releasing soon.
This handheld clip was filmed at the Star Wars Celebration IV
which has just finished at the time of posting.
It was a five day event that took place in Los Angeles, California.
UPDATE:This video seems to be quite hard to get hold of at the moment. But we scoured the internet and eventually found the video again after it was seemingly wiped from the Earth and YouTube.

After posting a video of Alison Crowe singing 'Hallelujah'
I thought it was only right to post what many consider to be the definitive version of the song. Here's the late Jeff Buckly
singing Leonard Cohen's inspired song, Hallelujah at the Liquid Room in Tokyo, Japan on the 1st of January, 1995.
It is one of my favourite songs and it's a real tragedy that Jeff Buckley's life was cut short when he was just getting started.

This trailer for the upcoming summer superhero movie, Fantastic Four: Rise of the Silver Surfer, adds a lot of extra footage to the mix and generally does a good job at making me a lot more intersted in seeing it. The first film was just awful and I have had no interest in this one until I saw this trailer. I still think it's going to be a mess but the Sliver Surfer does inject some much needed intrigue into the story.

I don't want to exagerate here but I think Bryan Adam's Summer of '69 could very well be the most "RADIO FRIENDLY SONG EVER". And if you happen to listen to a classic rock station the be prepared to hear this at least once a day - every day. It's feel good nostalgia and tale of would be success are the stuff of dreams in radioland. Here it is so that you can hear it one more time. Just for kicks.
