This is Running to Stand Still, live in Sydney during U2's ZooTV Australian leg of the tour. This song was originally released on The Joshua Tree album and although not as immediately well known as some of U2's iconic releases, this is a powerful song and this live version of it is particularly good.

This little girl made such an impression on the UK talent show, Britain's Got Talent that this clip was actually shown on Australia's top rated morning show, Sunrise and on various US television networks. Connie Talbot nails 'Somewhere Over The Rainbow' and makes it a pure and entertaining few moments. After this single performance, she was supposedly offered a record deal with Sony/BMG that's worth six figures.

Kevin Spacey co-wrote, directed and starred in the 2004 Bobby Darin biopic, Beyond the Sea. Here he is live on NBC's Today Show singing the title track of the film. Kevin Spacey is a bit of a renaissance man - he can act, direct, sing and he is the current creative director for the The Old Vic theatre in London.
For comparison, here's the original Bobby Darin singing Beyond The Sea.

Everybody loves classic Merrie Melodies from Warner Bros. When you see all the crazy and idiotic ways that the Coyote tries to catch the Road Runner it makes you feel smarter and somehow superior. This classic cartoon has all your favourite gags from the series, including falliing anvils, brick walls in the middle of the road and a giant catapult, of course.

The Darwin Awards
have been an Internet feature for many years now, so it's very fitting that Hollywood has finally taken notice and produced a feature film based on this most bizarre subject. For those of you who don't know, The Darwin Awards celebrate particular individuals who somehow erase themselves from the human genepool via various death inducing acts of stupidity and carelessness. The film stars Joseph Fiennes and Winona Ryder, as well as a strong comedic supporting cast, including the hilarious David Arquette.

This clever and thought provoking commercial presents the 'Wear Your Seatbelt' message from a slightly different perspective. In the end I don't know if it's supposed to be tragic or reassuring. I know a lot of buddhists will find it a little confusing.

This music video by Cassius, titled The Sound of Violence, is a simple concept that is helped by some outstanding execution.
When I look at music videos that I like, the best ones are always the videos that take me, as a viewer, to a place I didn't expect.
This video works so well because you can't guess where they are going to take you next. In this case, the video is much better than the song itself.

If you've ever wondered how bubble gum was made then this clip from The Discovery Channel is for you. The only thing that worries me is that the gum base is "made from plastics and rubbers..." What? Plastics and rubbers? I guess it can't be too harmfull after all the millions of pieces of Hubba Bubba that have been eaten - but still. And for the record, I have to say that Hubba Bubba GRAPE is the BEST flavour in my books.

When you watch a video like this you get a glimpse at how untamed nature really is. This giant dust storm in Iraq is so big that once it engulfs the cameraman it actually blots out the sun. I wonder how a person is supposed to breath properly when you're surrounded by something like this. If you didn't know it was real, it would be easy to think that this dust storm was some sort of computer generated effect from a movie.

Family Guy does movie parodies better than anyone else. Here's a spoof of Back to the Future as presented by Peter Griffin, Stewie and the rest of the animated family. Everyone remembers the original 'Enchantment Under The Sea' dance, right?
