This is the amazing Billy Marks and his one true skill of bouncing ping balls into cups. It sounds like it's lame but I have to give him snaps for devising increasingly difficult tricks and making it entertaining. A good rousing soundtrack never hurt things either.

If you're a tough anti-terrorist agent with mounting problems, what do you say to releave the tension? Well if you're Jack Bauer off the hit television series, 24, then you say 'Damn it!'. A lot. Here's the explanation from the man himself and an extended compilation of Jack's favorite two words.

The Breakfast Club is a classic of the teenage 80's genre pioneered by director John Hughes. It has a cast of the hottest young stars of that time and a theme that spoke to all of it's intended teenage audience. If you're around 30 years old now then this is probably one of those films that you took someone out on a date to in Junior high.
Here's the original trailer for The Breakfast Club in all it's kitschy retro glory.
Here's a clip of the lead characters breaking out and letting go to Karla DeVito's 'We Are Not Alone'. You gotta love music montages, don't you?
To show how this one film affects it's hardcore fans have a look at this scary fan vid.
And to finish this series off here is a remix of footage from The Breakfast Club set to a soundtrack of 'Such Great Heights' by The Postal Service.

Here's the trailer for Caché ('Hidden' in English). This French film by director Michael Haneke has had such critical acclaim that you simply must try to find it on DVD and check it out. From what I've read the crux of the whole film comes down to the last 3 seconds of the film. I admit I haven't been able to find Caché at the local Blockbuster yet but it's definitely on my list of films to watch out for.

'SWIM' is an award winning animated short from director Sil van der Woerd. It's a great blend of CG environments and composited real life actors, that is mixed together with a melodic and ethereal soundtrack. Together these elements become a dreamlike sequence that transports the viewer to a different place. Also included is the accompanying 'Making Of' clip.
Making of the animated short, 'SWIM'. Particularly if you have an interest in compositing then this is a tasty little clip of his production techniques. I'm really glad he decided to show us how the real actors were posed for the floating/swimming sequence towards the end. They have a fluid weightlessness to them.
Thanks go to Didn't You Hear? for the source.

Do you want to know what happens when you have too much K'NEX , too much time and obviously no girlfriend? Here's the best of the best K'NEX rollercoasters volumes 1 + 2. It is amazing what you can do with modular connectors given the time and inclination but I have to wonder what the end result is. I don't know, maybe chicks dig this?
Volume 1 of the best of the best K'NEX Rollercoasters.
Volume 2 of the best of the best K'NEX Rollercoasters.

Here's a clip from Conan O'Brien that should have Cadbury/Schweppes quaking in their boots. His guest BJ Novak questions whether Cadbury's Creme Eggs have gotten smaller since last year. But the kicker is that he has PROOF in the form of one of last year's eggs. Once again a giant corporation has decided to shaft the egg buying public and try to short change us all. It's outrageous!

This short film was the winner of the BEST ANIMATED SHORT in 1991. It pioneered the concept of having the animator fight with the animation that has just recently been duplicated very successfully . It's interesting to see good old fashioned line art that's drawn with pencils. When children today have grown up they will probably never see this type of animation.

A long running musical gag in 'Scrubs' is the a capella foursome that pops up in the strangest places featuring Ted the legal guy. Here's a compliation of clips that shows off their actually very good harmonies. They must have hired musicians first and actors secong because these guys are spot on with the accompaniments. For more of Scrubs look here and here.
