For my money, this is Weird Al 's best video/parody ever. He takes the already great 'Gangsta's Paradise' by Coolio and then twists it to be hilarious. To this day I sing "Amish paradise" instead of "gangsta's paradise" to either version. Check the second vid for the original version.
And now Coolio's 'Gangsta's Paradise', featured in the movie Dangerous Minds.
Abbott and Costello perform their most famous comedy bit. It starts off simply, but then a very confusing conversation about the odd names of the players on a baseball team.
Here we have the newest single off Stadium Arcadium, the Red Hot Chili Peppers ' newest album. It's a prett funny riff on the common rap videos of today, with a fun twist on the old theme. Also, Chris Rock inexplicably appears at the beginning and the end of the video.
Buffy was such a successful television series because Joss Whedon liked to take chances and play with the genre conventions. One of the bright shining examples of this was his delving into showtunes for the entirely musical episode entitled 'Once More with Feeling' . Here's the opening song from that episode to give you a taster.
A mix of CGI and social commentary, this short film by Andy Huang is beautiful and tragic. And also a little bit creepy in a 'I hate spiders' sort of way. But overall it is a powerful message about trying to aspire to the perceived standard of beauty .
I hadn't heard of Matt before but it looks like this has been a bit of a sensation. At the time of posting it's been viewed 5,967,786 times on YouTube . What I want to know is what Matt does for a living and how does he get to travel to all these cool places. Some people travel - this guy really travels. Oh, and did I forget to mention that he dances.
Also included here are the bloopers of his trips that didn't quite make into the final cut.
This is footage from traffic monitoring cameras in the Lefortovo Tunnel in Moscow, Russia . It is named the 'tunnel of death' by local residents after the amount and severity of accidents that occur there. The tunnel runs under the Yauza River and supposedly has some mild water leaks that then freeze on the road surface during winter.
Here's a mashup of one of the most iconic commercials to ever air on television. The '1984' commercial from Apple was aired in January '84 during the Superbowl. This remix has Hillary Clinton cast in the role of the oppressive big brother and her adversarial opponent is representative of Barack Obama . I'm not trying to make any political statements, I just think it's a very well done makeover on a very well made advert.
For those that want a reminder of the original, here's Apple's '1984'
Those that have seen 'Memento' will know that Guy Pearce is always good. This looks like a lot of films you've seen before but given the right script and actors this may be a tight little thriller. I also think it's good to see Piper Perabo getting some work since falling off the planet after 'Coyote Ugly' .
I don't want to be cruel and mock this guy unnecessarily. I just want to say that somewhere out there, probably at a Japanese Manga Convention , is the girl of this guy's dreams and the more this video gets out there, the better the chance of these two lovebirds finding each other. I'm just playing my part...
