I don't usually go into hyperbole (yes, I do, but that's beside the point), but this is the best Line Rider video ever. The combination of classic Super Mario Bros. music and the original level design and the goodness that is Line Rider makes this video freaking awesome.
This is Sony propaganda for the new online experience for the PS3 that they call 'HOME' . With Microsoft kicking butt with the online element of the Xbox360, Sony are going to have to come up with something pretty special indeed. This video does make it look sweet though, like a Second Life that's been sanitised and commercialized. Plus lots of trendy avatars that look cooler than you.
The Fray
are really eating up the radio charts lately so I thought I'd include this video for their breakout hit, 'Over My Head'.
They're touring with our favourites, OK GO , at he moment so they get extra props from us.
It's also one of my wife's favourite songs.
And as a bonus - here's the same track as performed live on a recent tour. I like the edited crowd interaction. If I was a member of the band I would love that the audience were that into the song.
Nothing quite shows the YouTube effect that has swept the Internet like this next clip. Who are these two boys and why are they doing this? Questions like these are better left unanswered. If you watch them, the boy in the front is trying to be cool but the boy at the back is just crazy nuts with his dancing. Someone, please stop feeding him sugar before he implodes.
And against my better judgement I'm going to include the original clip that the above boys have obviously been watching waaaay too much. Please loyal viewer, don't hold this against me.
You may have never heard of the band The Fratellis (unless you're from Scotland, that is) but you have probably heard this song, 'Flathead', on one of those hip iPod commercials. So catchy.
And for people outside the U.S. (or without a TV) here's their Apple IPOD commercial.
Supposedly this is a very hard to find video of Microsoft and Compaq executives having a bit of fun spoofing 'Tommy Boy'. Of course, you probably wouldn't describe it as hard to find anymore now that it's on YouTube. It's totally worth the time watching it just for the Steve Ballmer cameo.
The 'Got Milk?' commercials were a huge success. But how do you market them to the younger generation? You enlist the help of cool Marvel Superheroes and a videogames' icon.
Here's Mario somehow bouncing from the TV into the fridge in one incredible leap of coincidence.
If you're a gaming geek then those will be very familiar silhouettes. For the uninitiated, these are shapes from Half Life 2, which is one of the better video games in existence. Until Half Life 3, of course.
You know the Internet is an amazing place when you can find a beatboxing flute player that digs retro 80's cartoon themes. If you can think of it, I'm sure it's on the Internet somewhere. That's a scary thought.
This is where you see that the Japanese are willing to push the limit for funny television. If they tried something like this in the USA they would almost certainly be sued in obscurity. Check out how close one of the victims comes to having the rocket powered sled fall on top of him. Scary dangerous.
