After the enormous success of Lord of the Rings
and the Harry Potter
films, Hollywood is scouring literary fantasy books
yet again. This time it's the 'His Dark Materials' series by Philip Pullman. After the disappointment of the recent Narnia film, I have to say that from the trailer this looks to be the real deal. I haven't read any of the books but the trailer draws me in straight away and I'm now really looking forward to its release in December (2007).
